The Needs Project Addresses

Although our project is about ecological issues, it is a cross-cutting project (chemistry, biology, physics, science, mathematics, ICT, English &entrepreneurship). The emphasis is placed on skills &competencies of students &teachers which will be developed through ecological activities.
We plan to use formal (lessons and training sessions) &informal (ecoworkshops &local activities) education to raise people’s awareness &change their consumer habits &behaviour.

Our local activities will promote active citizenship, sense of initiative &youth entrepreneurship as students will have to plan, organise &manage the working time showing their skills &competences. During eco-workshops teachers will acquire new ideas, approaches, teaching methods by observing lessons, experiments. They will be able to implement them in their lessons. Students will gain knowledge of ecological problems, will change attitudes towards consumption, recycling & climate change. Both students & teachers will develop key competences. They will get reduce fear of speaking in a foreign language as all the activities will be done in English thus increasing the participants’ English language & communication skills. Project will demand work on eTwinning platform &the use of ICT thus enlarging participants’ digital competences.

A lot of new teachers will get involved in the project so in each partner school there will be more teachers who have worked on an international project increasing professional skills. Proposed activities & results will be used in extracurricular and curricular activities. They will be developed as a result of transnational cooperation, bringing together different disciplines &ecological actions to reduce climate change & increasing civic awareness.
Thinking &acting together in an international group we will achieve an eco-education through new methods & good practices that will be beneficial for: teachers, students, schools, local communities, municipalities, the whole society.
